St. Patricks Day 2017

Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated all over the world by the Irish community and is a traditional celebrated with parades, wearing green, music, songs food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, colouring and games. 

Saint Patrick is the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland and is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland.

Shopping Center Puerto Rico is proud to be taking part in this celebration, due to the growing community of Irish businesses inside the Shopping Center and the regular visits of Irish tourists that come back year after year to celebrate this special day here on the island.

At Dicey Reilly's they will be opening the bar around 11.00am.

They will have four different top musicians playing during the course of the day:

Frank Mckernan
Brian Fagan
Paul Fahy Busker
and Dale Dale
with host DJ Robbie Millen, from 11.00 to 19.00 and then again from 21.00 to 02.00,
and as they do every year they will be offering a courtesy barbacue and giving away t-shirts.


Molly Malones will open in the evening as usual, and will be offering live music from their resident band with special guest appearances and dancers.


Scruffy Murphy's will be opening from 10.00am till late, with entertainment during the day and evening from the one and only Marching Band, Memorial Flute Band who have come directly from Ireland to be with you on this special day. They will be marching along the main street below Scruffy Murphy's and later playing inside. They will also be offering a tasty Irish stew courtesy of the house.


Murphy's Kitchen will open as always from early in the morning but will be putting on a delicious special Roast Turkey Breast lunch accompanied by mashed potatoes, all kinds of different vegetables, roast potatoes and gravy from 13.00, and an alternative of fish, chips and mushy peas. 

They will also be showing the horse racing.


The Harp Bar will be open from 15.30 and along with the one and only Stevie York they will be offering live music, dancing, comedy and craic all day long.

They will have guest appearances from Rob Gorman, Jason Byrna, The Busher, Peter Spence, Sean Slattery, Christy Jones, Fire Slainte, the Drifters and No 1 Karaoke presenter Shona Mclean. 

Don't miss out on the party bags, hats, flats and face painting and there will be a barbacue and a special Irish stew courtesy of the house for all to enjoy.


The Pub will be open from 12.00 onwards with great drink offers all day, guest appearance from Tipperary Sean at 18.00 and Irish stew courtesey of the house.
